The Best Vinyl Community in JB

We started Side B with a simple belief: a vinyl store should do more than just sell records.

It should help people discover music they'll love, introduce them to albums they might never have found otherwise, and create a place where music fans feel like they belong.

That's why we don't just fill our website with as many albums as possible. Every record we stock is carefully chosen because we genuinely believe it's worth listening to, collecting, and recommending. If we wouldn't recommend it ourselves, it probably won't be on our shelves.

But discovering music shouldn't stop at the product page.

That's why every album on our website comes with a description that goes beyond the basics. We share what the album is about, its themes, standout tracks, and why we think it's worth owning. Whether you're exploring a new artist or deciding on your next addition to your collection, we want to help you understand the music before you buy it.

We also love talking about music, which is why we regularly create content around the albums we carry. From Album of the Week and Staff Picks to This or That, Rate the Song, and album spotlights, our goal is to help you discover music that genuinely suits your taste—not just what's trending. Sometimes all it takes is learning the story behind an album to realise it's exactly what you've been looking for.

One thing that's important to us is listening to our community.

Through our Telegram group, you can request albums you've been searching for, suggest artists you'd like us to bring in, and even influence what appears in our next vinyl drop. We also keep our community updated with upcoming releases, exclusive campaigns, and special promotions, so you'll always know what's coming next. Side B isn't just built for the community—it's built with the community.

Whether you're buying your very first record or adding another classic to your collection, we're always here to help. If you have a question, we'll do our best to respond as quickly as possible because we know how exciting it is when you're looking forward to your next record.

While Side B is an online store today, it won't always stop there.

Our dream is to one day open a vinyl café in Johor Bahru—a place where people can slow down, enjoy a great cup of coffee, listen to records together, discover new music, and meet others who share the same passion. We want it to be a place where conversations happen naturally, recommendations are shared, and music brings people together.

Until that day comes, we're building that same community online.

One carefully chosen album.
One recommendation.
One conversation.
One music lover at a time.

We're only just getting started, and we'd love for you to be part of the journey.
