Why We Created Our Vinyl Starter Package

It usually starts in a very simple way. Someone hears a record playing in a café, sees a turntable spinning in a video, or stumbles across vinyl online — and something about it just feels different. Not louder or more advanced, but more real. The crackle before the music starts, the motion of placing the record down, the feeling that you’re not just pressing play but actually taking part in the music.
But once that curiosity turns into action, things quickly become complicated. What turntable should I buy? Do I need speakers? Why are there so many conflicting opinions online? Something that started as excitement slowly turns into hesitation, and for many people, that’s where the journey stops before it even begins.
We saw this happen repeatedly. People who genuinely wanted to start their vinyl journey, but never did — not because they lost interest, but because the first step felt overwhelming. So we kept asking ourselves why something meant to bring joy had become so difficult to begin.
That question led us to create our Vinyl Starter Package.
It wasn’t designed as just another product bundle. It was designed to remove the confusion completely. A carefully selected Audio-Technica turntable paired with Edifier speakers that work well together without the need for endless research or comparisons.
But what we quickly realised is that the equipment was never the hardest part. The hardest part is the moment right before you press play for the first time — that small pause, that uncertainty, that thought of whether everything is set up correctly.
That’s why we don’t just hand over the package. We help with setup, guide you through everything, and make sure that when you finally press play, you’re not thinking about cables or settings. You’re just listening.
Because that first moment matters. The first time the room fills with sound. The first time you sit down and actually listen without distractions. The first time vinyl stops feeling complicated and starts feeling natural.
At the end of the day, Side B has never been about selling equipment. It’s about helping people experience music again in a way that feels present and meaningful. And if this starter package helps someone skip the confusion and get straight to that first moment of listening, then it has already done its job.
Because starting shouldn’t feel complicated. It should just feel like music.
